Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Asst. Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and the supervision of the Head of the Department of Qur’an Sciences and Islamic Education, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas, the department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a training workshop titled: “Treatment of Psychological Conditions in the Holy Quran” on Wednesday, 19-2-2025 at eleven o’clock in the morning, at the Graduate Studies Hall, Department of Qur’an Sciences and Islamic Education, and was attended by a group of professors of the department, graduate and preliminary students, and lectured by: Asst. Prof. Dr. Ashwaq Saeed Radini, and Dr. Nour Hisham Abboud.
The training workshop aims to find out the following:
1- The source of mental illness.
2- The extent to which people respond to the whispers and thoughts of Satan.
3- The stages of Satan’s influence on man from a young age.
4- Steps to treat psychological conditions.
The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
1- Believing in God and getting closer to Him through the duties of praying, fasting and reading the Holy Qur’an.
2- Confronting the whispers of Satan by seeking refuge in Allah from him and continuing in his life to the satisfaction of Allah.
